L’Oréal EverPure Volume

love the way this shampoo and conditioner smell, and apparently so does everyone else! I’m not exactly sure what it smells like, almost a eucalyptus and mint. I was a little stuffy before my last shower and using this plus the steam actually helped a lot. I’ve been using it for almost a month now and I do notice that it makes my hair soft and full of volume. I usually let my hair air dry and brush it or run my fingers through it to speed that up a little. My hair smells like the shampoo for the rest of the day and doesn’t feel weighed down at all. I love that I got a sample from Influencer to try complementary.

Xeiccob Shower Head

Recently I moved into a new house and the bathroom was recently redone. Everything looks really great, except for the shower head. When I got the chance to have this one for free I jumped at it! Take a look:

Overall, I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It’s pretty and looks good, but there are a few wonky heads that shoot out in all directions. And while this one is a cosmetic improvement, the other one was adjustable. I would consider it more of a $10 shower head not a $20, but I might not know much about the pricing. #XEICCOB

Last time I checked they were unavailable online, but hopefully the product is restocked again soon. When it’s back you can check it our here! https://www.amazon.com/Shower-Chrome-Finish-Pressure-Rainfall/dp/B01GLTP472/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478816497&sr=8-1&keywords=shower+head

My Texas Pete Tailgate

There’s nothing like fall, the kids go back to school, the heat finally breaks and college football kicks off for another hopeful season. Down south college ball gets all the attention, specifically SEC ball. Now that I’m not a student I can’t make it to the stadium to cheer on my Gamecocks, but that doesn’t keep me from tailgating at my house!

The gamecocks play the first game of the season this week and I test ran my party food using the Original Texas Pete Hot Sauce.20160827_160137

20160831_210142My go-to tailgate food is wings, a perfect combo of buffalo, ranch and spicy kick! We make ours in the crockpot. We start out by throwing a dozen or so in, covering them in Texas Pete Original Hot Sauce and buffalo sauce and cooking them on low for 4-6 hours.
20160831_212054.jpgOnce they look cooked and falling off the bone we carefully move them to a pan lined with tin foil. We mostly use the tinfoil for easy clean up, but it
also keeps us from greasing the pan. In a small dish we mix up the rest of the buffalo sauce, 1/2 the ranch mix packet and a whole lot of Texas Pete! Once the wings are in the pan we coat them in the mix and sprinkle a little more ranch dip mix on top. We cook those for 10 minutes at 350 F. then take them out, roll them over, coat and sprinkle again and pop them back into the oven for another 10 minutes at 350.

After that we take them out, coat and sprinkle one last time and stick the whole pan in the broiler for just a few minutes. This caramelizes the sauce and makes them so so sticky and spicy! #tailgatewithTexasPete

20160827_191550Remove chicken from crock pot and put in pan. Coat in mixture, sprinkle some ranch mix on top and cook for 10 minutes. Turn, repeat on the other side and cook for another 10 minutes.

We take them out, turn them on more time, coat with the last of the mix and stick them in the broiler for a few minutes.

Serve with salad, celery and a side of ranch!
